Grantune is a personal productivity tool that helps researchers and freelancers discover grants and prepare application materials using AI.

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address, used to identify your account and send you notifications.
• Your uploaded documents (CV, work samples, past submissions), used solely to generate personalised application materials on your behalf.
• Grant data discovered by the AI agent on your behalf, stored and displayed in your account.
• Basic usage data (e.g. when you ran a discovery cycle), used to operate and improve the service.

Your data is used for the following purposes:

• To operate and provide the Grantune service.
• To send you email notifications about newly discovered grants (when enabled in your profile).
• To send occasional product updates, announcements about Grantune, and updates about new AI products we are developing. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.
• To process your documents using the Anthropic Claude AI API for grant matching and material generation. Documents are sent to the API for processing and are not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API call.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

Your data may be processed by the following third-party services strictly to provide the Grantune functionality:

• Anthropic — AI processing of your documents and grant data.
• MongoDB Atlas — secure cloud database storage.
• Vercel — frontend hosting.
• SendGrid — email delivery for grant notifications.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never stored in plain text. Access to the service requires authentication. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
